APPLICATIONS

Pyridoxine is a vitamin of the B group. It is used as a vitamin supplement and to prevent the nerve damage. It acts as coenzyme and Cofactor in carbohydrate (stored as energy in the liver and muscles), amino acid and fat metabolism. Pyridoxine is also necessary for the for the conversion of tryptophan to vitamin B3, niacin. It acts for the production of blood cells and antibodies.

REMARKS
Vitamin B6 exists as three water-soluble chemical compounds derived from 2-methylpyridine; pyridoxine or pyridoxol (the alcohol compound), pyridoxal (the aldehyde) and pyridoxamine (the amine) which act as coenzyme and Cofactor in carbohydrate, amino acid metabolism and fat metabolism especially the unsaturated fatty acids.
