APPLICATIONS

Pemoline, an oxazolidine compound, is a central nervous system stimulant used in the treatment of children with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder such as inattention, hyperactivity and impulsivity as well as adults with narcolepsy in case of no response of psychotherapy. Pemoline is a white to off-white crystalline powder; insoluble in water; melting point 245 C; administered orally. Chemical designation is 2-Imino-5-phenyl-4-oxazolidinone.
