Fluorocarbons are inert liquid or gas which are nonflammable, heat-stable, dielectric and virtually non-toxic. It is used as propellants, refrigerants, solvents, air conditioning, lubricants, insulating forms, heat transfer fluids, metal casting, semiconductor industry, fire fighting and in making plastics and resins. Tetradecafluorohexane is used as a fluoro-tags solvent for separation and purification technique. It is used for the fluoroorganic synthesis and as a heat transfer agent. | ||
