Calcium
bromide and irs formulated brines are used
as completion and drilling fluids in oil
drilling field with densities in the range 11.5
to 14.5 ppg. Pharmaceutical grade of calcium
bromide might be applied in neuroses
(epilepsy, anticonvulsant, sedative). Its
various grades are used in photographics,
freezing mixtures, food preservatives and fire
retardants.
